Sandpearl Weddings - Frequently Asked Questions
The Sandpearl Resort wants to help make your Clearwater Beach wedding an unforgettable experience. Below, we’ve answered many of the questions we receive about hosting a wedding at our Clearwater Beach resort from Food and Beverage minimums to obtaining your Florida marriage license. 1. What is helpful to know when contacting the resort?
The entire Sandpearl team looks forward to the opportunity to assist you in planning your wedding celebration. When submitting wedding inquiries to the resort, please include your preferred date, any alternative date options, the anticipated number of guests attending, your budget, and any relevant contact information to help us determine the best options for your special day.
2. What does The Sandpearl Resort provide for a wedding ceremony?
There is a ceremony fee of $1,500.00 for 20-100 guests or $1,800.00 for 101-325 guests. This fee includes the ceremony location, white wedding chairs, and indoor space in the event of inclement weather. Additional enhancements to your wedding ceremony and reception are available through the resort as well as outside vendors.
3. Are there any restrictions regarding the number of guests attending a ceremony or reception?
Yes, our Clearwater Beach wedding venues are best suited to events with 20 to 325 guests in attendance. Thus, we reserve our ceremony and reception sites for parties that fall within this range.
4. How do I secure my wedding date and venue?
After submitting an initial request for proposal you will receive information detailing all of the unique opportunities we can offer for your Clearwater Beach wedding. After reviewing this packet, a Sandpearl Wedding Sales Manager will be in contact to discuss the specifics of your special day. Depending upon the size of your wedding, our Specialist will advise you which venue most adequately fits your needs and confirm if your preferred date and location are available. After this information is acquired, a Catering contract will be prepared. Once the contract is signed and a deposit received, your date will be secured.
5. Can I have my ceremony on the beach?
Absolutely. The most popular wedding ceremony setting at the Sandpearl Resort is our 700-foot beach. Outdoor ceremonies may also take place on the boardwalk, the Pool Lawn, or for larger events, on our Gulf Lawn. All of Sandpearl’s outdoor wedding venues boast spectacular views of our white sand beach and the Gulf of Mexico.
6. Can I host only my ceremony at the Sandpearl Resort?
We are currently unable to accommodate ceremonies for couples that are not hosting their wedding reception at the resort.
7. What is the service charge and sales tax for hosting an event at the resort?
All prices are subject to a 23% service charge and applicable Florida State sales tax.
8. What is the process for obtaining a Florida marriage license?
Couples must obtain their own Florida marriage license in order to be legally married at the resort. Marriage licenses can be obtained through any courthouse in Florida. Both the bride and groom must be present and have proper identification. The cost of the license is payable by cash or money order. The marriage license will be issued at the time of application and is valid immediately for out-of-state residents and after three (3) days for Florida residents. Your Florida marriage license must be used within 60 days.
9. What accommodations are provided for the Bride & Groom?
Sandpearl’s exceptional wedding packages include one complimentary night for the bride and groom in one our luxurious Clearwater Beach accommodations.
10. How do my guests reserve rooms?
If you require a total of 10 or more rooms for your guests, you may reserve a room block at a discounted group rate that is available exclusively for them. Your Specialist will go over the details with you.
11. What are the fees for parking?
The Sandpearl Resort offers Valet Parking for your guests at the rate of $10.00. Overnight Valet Parking is offered for $25.00.
12. Can we do a rehearsal for the wedding ceremony?
Your Sandpearl Resort Catering Manager will be happy to arrange a ceremony rehearsal for you and your wedding party. Rehearsal times are confirmed four weeks prior to your wedding and set at a time that does not interfere with other booked events. Please contact your manager in advance to arrange a rehearsal.
13. Where does the bridal party get ready before the wedding?
Staying at the resort the evening before your wedding provides the Bride and the Groom with the opportunity to utilize the room for any pre-ceremony needs. Florists, wedding party members, and family members are all allowed to assist you in your room. If you would like another room, your Catering Manager can assist you in securing a separate overnight suite.
14. Does Sandpearl offer bridal hair and makeup services?
The Spa at Sandpearl’s hair and makeup professionals will work with you to create your desired bridal look, as well as cater to the beauty needs of your bridal party.
15. What is the average cost per person for food & beverage?
While each wedding is unique, Sandpearl Resort offers several wedding packages that detail our wedding offerings and enhancements. Wedding package prices range from $152 to $180 per person. The Sandpearl Resort would be delighted to customize a package based on your specific tastes and price out that package accordingly.
16. Can food or beverage be brought in from the outside?
According to Florida State and County Law, all food and beverage for your wedding must be provided and served by the Sandpearl Resort.
17. Who provides the Wedding Cake?
We are happy to be able to offer the wedding cake as part of our complete wedding package. The resort works with several nearby pastry and cake specialists that you can choose from. You may also choose to obtain your cake from an outside vendor on your own.
18. Can you please clarify the Food & Beverage Minimum?
Food and Beverage Minimums are monetary amounts that must be spent in order to host your event in a particular venue at our Clearwater Beach resort. This number does not include service charges, sales tax, any fees, parking, guestrooms, or any enhancements to your event. Thus when budgeting for your wedding, you should anticipate spending more than the requested Food and Beverage Minimum.
19. When do I need to finalize my menu?
Final menu selections must be turned in to your Catering Manager 30 days prior to your wedding. Final guest counts are due in writing by noon, 72 Business Hours before your event.
20. Do you provide children's and vendor meals?
Yes, a selection of both children's and vendor meals are available for your convenience.
21. Do you provide menu tastings?
The Sandpearl Resort offers menu tastings for weddings scheduled in our banquet/ballroom space. Specific guidelines will be provided to you from your Catering Manager that will specify how to make the food and beverage selections for your tasting. Please allow a three-week advance timeframe in which to book your tasting.
22. Do you offer Kosher menus?
Sandpearl Resort can make arrangements to have Kosher meals provided for your guests. The Sandpearl Resort does not have a kosher kitchen for onsite banquets and therefore can only accommodate smaller requests with kosher needs.
