CLEARWATER BEACH’S NEW SANDPEARL RESORT ANNOUNCES WEDDING PACKAGES

Choose from a gulf front lawn, traditional ballrooms or intimate spaces beginning summer 2007

CLEARWATER BEACH, FL (March 5, 2007) – Nestled along the Gulf coast of Florida is a new pearl waiting to be discovered by engaged couples. The Sandpearl Resort, opening summer 2007, is already building a reputation to be one of the most prestigious resorts on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Now, couples can begin planning their dream wedding with a variety of packages sure to entice the most discerning of guests.

The Sandpearl Resort, with its meticulously landscaped grounds and sweeping Gulf of Mexico views, offers couples a staff devoted to providing fine service and attention to detail. The resort can accommodate both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and dinners for up to 350-plus guests, and even larger reception-style events, in one of four dramatic settings.

Both lunch and dinner wedding packages are available, along with various wedding enhancements. Custom menus are also available upon request. Package options include a plated luncheon, a luncheon/brunch buffet, a plated dinner, or a dinner buffet. Following is a brief description of each:

• The plated luncheon package is priced from $79.00-$88.00* per guest (minimum 25 guests) and includes: 3 hour open bar with resort liquors; champagne toast; two hors d’oeuvres; three butler passed canapés; salad; two entrees (such as grilled salmon, shrimp and sea scallop crepes, chicken stuffed with boursin & prosciutto ham, and more); chef’s vegetable; potato; warm rolls; and coffee, hot tea and iced tea.
• The luncheon/brunch buffet package is priced from $85.00* per guest (minimum 50 guests) and includes: 3 hour open bar with resort liquors; champagne toast; two hors d’oeuvres; baby field greens salad, Caesar salad and pasta salad; three entrees for a lunch (such as mahi-mahi, sliced London Broil and more) or one entrée and assorted breakfast items for a brunch; brie scalloped potatoes; herb-steamed vegetables; warm rolls; and coffee, hot tea and iced tea. Note that brunches are available from 11am-1pm and additional fees apply.
• The plated dinner package is priced from $105.00-$133.00* per guest (minimum 25 guests) and includes: 4 hour open bar with resort liquors; champagne toast; two hors d’oeuvres; three butler passed canapés; soup or salad; two entrees (such as pan seared chicken piccata, Florida fresh grouper, filet of beef, combination entree and more); chef’s vegetable and starch; warm rolls; and coffee, hot tea and iced tea.
• The buffet dinner package is priced from $135.00-$165.00* per guest (minimum 50 guests) and includes: 4 hour open deluxe bar with resort liquors; champagne toast; five butler passed canapés; and one of four buffet menus including the Caladesi Island buffet with island creations, prime rib buffet, Italian buffet or Florida seafood buffet; warm rolls; and coffee, hot tea and iced tea.

Wedding enhancements are also offered at an additional cost and provide an added dimension to the event. Available add-ons include:

• Displays (rolled sushi, shellfish on ice, chocolate fondue and more)
• Carving stations (whole roasted tom turkey, whole peppercorn crusted beef tenderloin, hoison and mirin glazed pork loin, and more)
• Action stations (pasta station and root-mash martini bar)
• Crepe stations (sweet or savory preparations)
• Desert stations (banana split and sundae bar)

The Sandpearl Resort offers seven distinctive settings for wedding events, making the resort ideal for both destination weddings and local weddings:

• The Gulf Lawn, which spans just over 6700 square feet, and is perfect for a beach garden ceremony for up to 350 guests, or a reception-style event for up to 700
• The detached Gulf-side Suite, a two-story luxury suite adjacent to the Gulf Lawn, features a private bedroom and entertaining area that is suitable for casual gatherings or as a hospitality suite.
• The Hunter Ballroom offers elegant appointments and natural lighting, with a 15 foot ceiling and space to accommodate 350 guests for a dinner and up to 700 guests for a reception.
• The Pool Lawn, just over 2100 square feet, is centered between a falling water feature and a lagoon-style pool, and is ideal for a casual reception for up to 220 guests.
• The sophisticated, yet subtle, Harbor Ballroom can accommodate a dinner for 170 guests and a chic reception of up to 325.
• The Private Dining Room is perfect for a rehearsal dinner for up to 40 of your closest friends, family and the bridal party.
• The Cove is a stylish room with space for up to 60 guests to dine and dance in the glow of the spectacular sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico.
